The Larkspur Hotel at night, snowed in, one window lit

A murder mystery for one night

The Last Night at the Larkspur

One night. Six suspects. A door that stayed locked for twenty years, and opened last night. The road reopens at 7:30. Name the killer before it does.

The suspects

Everyone is lying about something.

Every character is fully voiced, and they remember you. Catch a lie with the evidence and you'll see it in their face. Press play to meet three of them.

How it plays

You are the detectives. The sheriff is on the radio.

The storm has shut the road, so Sheriff Calloway can only guide you over the radio. Everything else is up to your team.

  1. Read the evidence

Letters, photos, phone logs and a tape recording, arriving in three waves as the night goes on.

  2. Question the suspects

Choose what to ask. Break their alibis. Listen at doors for conversations you weren't meant to hear.

  3. Crack the locks

Every code is hidden in the evidence. Each one opens a room, a drawer or a safe.

  4. Name the killer

Lay out the motive, method and proof, then confront them at the bar. Your score depends on how well you argue it.

Questions

Before you buy

What do we need to play?

One screen everyone can see: a TV, a laptop or a monitor, with a modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox). Turn the sound up. Phones are optional.

Is there anything to download or install?

No. You buy, you get a license key by email, you paste it in once on the device you'll play on, and the game opens in your browser.

How many devices can we use?

Each key unlocks up to five devices, so you can play on the TV and keep a laptop handy.

Does someone have to host or read a script?

No. Nobody plays a part and nobody needs to prepare. The whole group plays as one detective team, and the game runs itself.

Can we stop and come back?

Yes. Progress saves in your browser as you play.

Is it suitable for kids?

It's written for adults, roughly PG-13: a death, some drinking, no gore.

Are the voices real actors?

No. The characters are voiced with AI, directed line by line. The art is original and hand-drawn for the game.

I lost my key.
